Asciilands: how to join and start a town

Play the original ASCII sandbox and choose between exploring alone and building with other players.

Sources checked .

What you do first

Start with exploration and nearby resources before committing to a building site. The game supports gathering, crafting and building in a world shared with other players, so location matters as much as the shape of your first shelter.

What changes when you found a town

Towns let players claim land and grow a settlement. If you want to play with friends, agree on where to meet and what to build before splitting up. The site’s patch notes distinguish current changes from older tutorials.
