Nintendo will update several of its most popular titles with improvements in resolution, performance, and new features, at no additional cost to existing owners. Confirmed titles include:
- Super Mario Odyssey

- Pokémon Scarlet and Purple
- The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
- The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
- ARMS
- Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker
- Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics
- Game Builder Garage
- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
- Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain
These updates will be downloaded automatically when you connect your Nintendo Switch to the internet and have the original copy of the game installed (either physically or digitally).

- Increased resolution and frame rate (FPS)
- Reduced loading times
- Support for new features like GameShare and GameChat

- GameShare: Allows multiple players to participate in local play using only one copy.

Other titles will also have improved “Switch 2” editions, which will require a new purchase or the payment of an upgrade pack. Some of these include:

The estimated cost of the upgrade packages is expected to range from $10 to $15, but this has yet to be confirmed.
